I am a major supporter of detoxing safely, and I’m always looking for ways to add some detoxification into my every day life. I compiled a list of my 3 fave ways to detox outside of the kitchen & how I do them.
This super easy technique moves lymphatic fluid which can’t be moved by body reduces cellulite by breaking down trapped toxins in fat cells. It also unclogs pores and excretes toxins that become trapped in the skin and is a great way to assist your body with detox everyday.
How to do it:
grab a natural bristle dry brush, not synthetic that’s long enough to reach all your sexy limbs
hop in the shower before you turn it on
start at your feet, brushing all limbs toward the heart
brush several times in each area
& always brush toward the heart to effectively move lymph fluid
Take a Detox Bath
A detox bath will help to de-stress and calm your adrenal glands & give you some time to yourself. The Magnesium in the epsom salt will also aid in liver detoxification. Light some candles and chiiilll homie.
Detox Bath Recipe:
½ cup epsom salt
¼ cup baking soda
1 tbsp coconut oil
5- 10 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
hop in & unwind.
Here’s the scoop:
Tonight 2 hours before bed you are going to turn off your cell phone, shut off tv & resist the urge to grab your laptop. Hop into bed (extra points for clean sheets spritzed with some lavender essential oil) and read a goddamn book. Talk to your loved ones, and UNPLUG. This is always one of the hardest parts of the detox for me and reminds me how completely addicted I am to electronics. Its pretty tough but it will help you remember what it’s like to be a human again & you’ll sleep like a baby (or stay up all night…).
